Description
Creamy garlic butter shrimp pasta in one pot is a quick, indulgent dinner made with tender shrimp, fettuccine, and a rich garlic cream sauce—all in just one pan.
Ingredients
- 8 oz fettuccine (or linguine)
- 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
- Chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
In a large deep skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
2. Add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Pour in chicken broth and cream. Stir, then add uncooked pasta. Bring to a simmer.
4. Cook uncovered, stirring often, for 12–14 minutes or until pasta is tender and sauce thickens.
5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add shrimp back to the pan.
6. Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice if using. Toss everything gently to coat.
7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
Don’t overcook the shrimp—cook it separately and add it at the end.
For lighter options, substitute half-and-half or evaporated milk.
Add-ins like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes can be stirred in during the last few minutes.
