Ingredients
- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 packets chicken gravy mix
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1½ cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- 1 cup carrots, sliced (optional)
Instructions
1. Lightly grease the crockpot or use a liner.
2. Place chicken breasts in a single layer and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
3. In a bowl, whisk together gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, and chicken broth until smooth.
4. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
5. Add mushrooms and carrots if using.
6. Place butter on top.
7. Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours or high for 2–3 hours.
8. Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the crockpot.
9. Stir to coat chicken evenly in gravy.
10. Optional: stir in sour cream and let sit for 5–10 minutes.
11. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.

- Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness.
- Add sour cream at the end to prevent curdling.
