Ingredients
- 500g chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 8–10 small corn tortillas
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cup tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Mexican crema
- 1/2 cup crumbled cheese (optional)
- Hot sauce (to taste)
Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
2. Add chicken and coat well. Let it marinate for at least 15–30 minutes.
3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until fully cooked and slightly charred.
4. Remove chicken, let it rest for 5 minutes, then chop into small pieces.
5. Warm tortillas in a skillet or over a flame until soft.
6. Assemble tacos by adding chicken, tomatoes, onion, cilantro, avocado, and toppings.
7. Drizzle with crema, sprinkle cheese, and add hot sauce if desired.
