Description

Easy Strawberry Mousse Dessert is a light, airy no-bake treat made with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and gelatin. This creamy strawberry mousse delivers vibrant berry flavor and elegant presentation with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry jam (optional)
  • Fresh sliced strawberries (for garnish)
  • Whipped cream (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional garnish)
  • White chocolate shavings (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Blend strawberries with granulated sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Strain if desired for a silky texture.
  2. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let bloom for 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Microwave bloomed gelatin for 10 to 15 seconds until dissolved. Do not boil. Cool slightly.
  4. Stir dissolved gelatin into strawberry puree until fully incorporated.
  5. If using cream cheese, beat until smooth, then mix in strawberry puree until lump-free.
  6. In a chilled bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  7. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Continue whipping to medium peaks.
  8. Gently fold strawberry mixture into whipped cream using slow, sweeping motions.
  9. Spoon mousse into serving glasses and smooth tops.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully set.
  11. Garnish with sliced strawberries, whipped cream, mint, or white chocolate before serving.

Notes

  • Use ripe strawberries for best flavor and color.
  • Avoid overwhipping cream to maintain airy texture.
  • Chill at least 2 hours for proper structure.
  • Store covered in refrigerator up to 3 days.
  • Freezing may slightly alter texture after thawing.
