Description

Hot Honey Feta Chicken is a sweet and spicy oven-baked chicken dish topped with creamy feta and finished with a glossy hot honey glaze. This easy 40-minute dinner is perfect for weeknights, meal prep, or entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 lbs)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped (divided)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/3 cup hot honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (optional)
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken dry and pound to even thickness if needed.
  2. Mix salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and half the thyme. Rub evenly over chicken.
  3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden.
  4. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine hot honey, garlic, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, and butter. Warm gently for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Pour two-thirds of the hot honey mixture over chicken. Sprinkle feta evenly on top and add cherry tomatoes if using.
  6. Transfer skillet to oven and bake 15–18 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Rest 5 minutes. Drizzle remaining hot honey glaze over top and garnish with parsley and remaining thyme before serving.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness if preferred.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes for more or less heat.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Reheat gently in the oven at 325°F to maintain moisture.
  • Add a squeeze of fresh lemon before serving to brighten flavors.
