Description
Hot Honey Ground Turkey Sweet Potato Skillet is a healthy one-pan meal with lean turkey, caramelized sweet potatoes, and a sweet spicy hot honey glaze.
Ingredients
- 500g ground turkey (lean)
- 2 medium sweet potatoes, diced
- 3 tablespoons hot honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1–2 cups spinach
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
- Optional: 1 cup bell peppers, diced
- Optional: avocado slices for serving
Instructions
1. Dice sweet potatoes into small cubes.
2. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook sweet potatoes for 10–12 minutes until tender and slightly crispy. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add remaining oil and sauté onion for 2–3 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
4. Add ground turkey and cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking it apart until fully browned.
5. Season with paprika, cumin, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
6. Return sweet potatoes to the skillet and mix well.
7. Drizzle hot honey and stir to coat everything evenly. Cook for 2–3 minutes until glossy.
8. Add spinach and cook until wilted.
9. Finish with lime juice and garnish with green onions before serving.
