Description

Juicy Blackstone Chicken Breast cooked on a hot griddle with garlic, smoked paprika, and herbs. This easy recipe creates tender, flavorful chicken with a golden crust, perfect for weeknight dinners, meal prep, salads, sandwiches, or grain bowls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 2 lbs)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chicken broth (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Trim excess fat from the chicken breasts and pound or slice them to about 3/4 inch thickness for even cooking. Pat dry with paper towels.

2. Place the chicken in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Rub evenly to coat the surface.

3. In a small bowl combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

4. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over both sides of the chicken and rub into the meat. Drizzle with lemon juice and honey if using.

5. Preheat the Blackstone griddle to medium heat around 375–400°F for about 5 minutes.

6. Add butter to the griddle and spread it across the surface with a spatula.

7. Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the hot griddle and cook for 5–6 minutes without moving to form a golden crust.

8. Flip the chicken and cook another 5–6 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

9. If needed, add a splash of chicken broth and cover with a dome lid for 1–2 minutes to keep the chicken moist.

10. Remove the chicken from the griddle and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

11. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Allowing the chicken to rest after cooking helps keep it juicy.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches 165°F internally.
  • You can customize the seasoning with Cajun spice, taco seasoning, or lemon pepper.
  • Store cooked chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3–4 days.
  • This chicken works great for meal prep, salads, sandwiches, and wraps.
