Ingredients
- 1.5 lb boneless skinless chicken breast
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6–8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 cup spinach (optional)
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Trim chicken and prepare ingredients.
2. Place chicken in crockpot and add seasoning, garlic, and spices.
3. Add cream cheese, butter, and chicken broth.
4. Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
5. Remove chicken and shred with forks.
6. Return shredded chicken to crockpot and stir well.
7. Add cheddar cheese and bacon, cook 10–15 minutes until melted.
8. Stir in optional spinach or mushrooms if using.
9. Garnish with green onions and extra bacon before serving.
10. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
