Description

This One-Pot Creamy Kielbasa Pasta is a rich, smoky, and comforting dish made with halal kielbasa, tender pasta, and a creamy tomato sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb halal turkey or beef kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 1/2 cups low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with juice
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz penne or rotini pasta, uncooked
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add sliced kielbasa and cook for 5–6 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.

2. In the same pot, sauté onion and red bell pepper for 3–4 minutes until softened. Add garlic and paprika, cook for 1 minute.

3. Pour in chicken broth and diced tomatoes. Stir well and add heavy cream.

4. Add uncooked pasta and return kielbasa to the pot. Stir to combine.

5. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes. Stir occasionally.

6. Once pasta is tender and sauce thickens, stir in mozzarella cheese until fully melted.

7. Season with salt and pepper. Let rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.

8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add a splash of broth or milk when reheating to maintain creaminess.
  • You can swap mozzarella with cheddar or parmesan for variation.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
  • Freeze before adding cheese for best texture.
